1. Who We Are

BookingPlus is a job management platform for tradespeople and service businesses, operated by Boilers4You Ltd. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2. What Data We Collect

Account data: Name, email address, phone number, business name, trade/skills selected during registration.

Job data: Customer names, addresses, phone numbers, appointment dates and times, job notes, and completion status.

Calendar data: Events imported from Google Calendar or other sources, personal calendar blocks.

SMS data: Messages sent to customers (appointment reminders, confirmations). Message content, delivery status, and cost are logged.

Device data: When using the mobile app, we may access SMS messages (Android only) with your explicit permission, solely to create job entries from customer text messages.

Usage data: Login times, pages visited, and feature usage for improving the service.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the BookingPlus service — managing your jobs, calendar, and customer communications
• To send appointment reminders to your customers by email or SMS on your behalf
• To process payments for premium features (Pro and Enterprise tiers)
• To improve the service based on usage patterns
• To send you important service updates (not marketing)

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to deliver BookingPlus:

• ClickSend — for sending SMS messages to your customers. Their privacy policy applies to SMS delivery.
• Google Calendar API — for importing your calendar events (only when you choose to connect). We access your calendar in read-only mode.
• Google Play Services — for app distribution on Android devices.

5. SMS Permissions (Android App)

The BookingPlus Android app requests SMS permission to automatically capture incoming text messages from your customers and create job entries. This feature:

• Only activates when you explicitly enable it in settings
• Only reads incoming messages — it does not send SMS from your phone
• Forwards message content and sender phone number to your BookingPlus account
• Can be disabled at any time in the app settings or Android system settings

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom. We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Database backups are encrypted and stored securely.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Job records and customer data you created may be retained in anonymised form for business analytics.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format (CSV)
• Object to processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for login sessions and security (CSRF protection). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

10. Children

BookingPlus is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
